antique inspiration...

A visit to an old Victorian country town today had me wandering inside an antique store. This is not an uncommon thing for me as both my parents are huge fans of antique furniture and it became the norm from a very early age. My first antique purchase occurred about 8 years ago and was a gorgeous 1970's large retro orange/white/black vase - no longer on display but carefully stored away. Over the years there has been many a vintage button, coin and piece of jewellery added to my collection...a collection similar to that of my fathers, although his consists of vintage tools, store signage, doors, locks, etc and a very large shed to house them all.
So, todays antique store visit saw me leave with an arm full of vintage crystal chandelier prisms. Chandeliers have always held me captivated, something about the way the light hits them and the way they look so glamourous. And as I write this I am so eager to turn these into gorgeous pieces of jewellery! Stay tuned to my facebook page:
